– President & Delegate General – EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL –
THE WORD OF THE DELEGATE GENERAL : UNDERSTANDING THE NATURE & SCOPE OF EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL.
« Rarely in our lifetime have Ethics, Governance & Green Growth been as important for the World as they are today.
In a never – ending quest for more Ethics and Governance in our lives, EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL – an exclusive event at the crossroads between Cinema & Spirit of Justice – is a world in itself.
EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL is a brand new film festival that could well prove to inspire – up to a certain extent – a new way of life.
Strenghtening Global Governance, boosting the Energy Transition involve establishing ‘ »rules of the game ».
International Film Makers need to catch up with these developments.
There is considerable scope for doing more in many of the domains considered in our Festival.
The first Edition of EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL scheduled in June 2018 ( 26 – 28 June 2018 ) will be embodying the rise of a new era where Leaders protect the poorest and Mother Nature as the fight of their lives.
Basically, EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL is a nonprofit event that helps improve policy and decisionmaking through movies by leading the way in tackling three of the biggest social, economic and environmental threats we are facing today namely, the lack of Ethics, the lack of Governance and the lack of Green Growth.
Again on 26 – 28 June 2018, the Delegates, Goodwill Ambassadors, Special Envoys, and Sponsors will gather in PARIS for « EG3 PARIS » as Testimony to their Belief in the Core Values of the Festival.
So, on that specific occasion, don’t expect us to celebrate some Glamorous Stars draped in Couture and Diamonds by enjoying Champagne and Cocktails – at some of the City’s most popular bars where we could usually spot one or two of the World’s Rich and Famous during the Fashion Week – No way !…
No Champagne and no dancing on the tables ?….Why that ? …
Because lots of people on earth are unhappy and scare.
To be more specific, there has been a backlash against Globalisation driven by the fact that parts of the populations of advanced countries do not consider that the benefits derived from the globalisation of the world which has advanced dramatically in recent decades are being evenly shared.
Conversely, instead of having drinks, we will be watching Films and Documentaries covering highly sensitive issues such as Clean Innovation, Globalisation, Rethinking Growth, Tackling Corruption, International Co-operation, Low-Carbon economy, Energy Transition, Development Aid, Foreign Bribery, Irrational Behavioural Economics, Going for Clean Growth, Policies for Growth to Benefit All, Tomorrow’s Digital World, Green Finance, Decline in Living Standards, Poor Domestic Policies, Inequality, International Investment and Competition, Distortions, Better Life, Clean Air, Education, Income and Health, Radical Innovation, New Business Models, Blockchain Technology, Trust in Government, Trust and Public Policy, Trust in legal and justice services, Broader Public Trust, Green Bonds, Inclusive and Transparent Policy Making, Regulation, Budgetary Governance, Financial Crisis, Public Finances, Fiscal Discipline, Tax Crimes, Global Trade and Competition, Sustainable Infrastructure, Renewable Energy Projects, Low – Carbon Infrasructure, Climate – Resilient Infrastructure, Urban Policy, Putting Wtaer at the centre of the Global Agenda, Strategic public Procurement,Future of Work….Investing in Climate, Global Warming, Investing in Growth, Inequality and Growth.
So, together, we will mark the very first edition of this brand new film festival.
Incidently, EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL is already spoken the world over : With 60 Goodwill Ambassadors, 125 Special Envoys and Film Directors from all around the Globe, our Festival is meant to be shared.
May EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL inspire us all because at the end of the day, it might be able to better our day-to day live.
Together along with International Film Makers, this can help ensure that the benefits of Globalisation are better shared throughout all segments of all advanced societies and emerging – market economies.
For that reason, by leveling the playing field of Ethics, Governance and Green Growth, EG3 is more than just a Cinematographic event, it has other ambitions.
Ways to make progress in the above – mentionned areas are the subject matter of our Festival.
We are convinced that EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL will be regarded as a key milestone in the International Debate on how Globalisation works for all and why we need Leaders to act in service of future generations.
Though it will be but a step in a process, it is our conviction that an evidence – based cinematographic approach such as that taken at EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL is also a great way to address the true problems our Societies are facing.
Also, EG3 PARIS FILM FESTIVAL through its conferences, will be providing a Forum – both Physical and Digital – to discuss how Film Directors & Producers can bring to the table ideas to ensure that the Spirit of Justice will be to the benefit of all.
Our final word goes to the Film Directors & Film Producers from across the world who are submitting to our Teams, outstanding movies and documentaries that can make the World working better for all.
Again, let this upcoming event convince us how far we still have to go together keeping in mind that greater efforts are needed to ensure that Benefits from Green Growth, Clean Innovation, Technological Changes, Energy Transition, Social Cohesion, Well- Being and Globalisation are more more widely shared »
